About TUBSAT-30
OOV-Cube (On-Orbit Verification Cube), also catalogued as TUBSAT-30, is a 25 cm, 11.5 kg microsatellite of the Technical University of Berlin and the company Rapid Cubes, built on TU Berlin's TUBiX10 platform that flew earlier on the S-Net and SALSAT missions. It was launched on 9 July 2024 on the first flight of the European Ariane 6 rocket from Kourou, on the same flight as the Slovak GRBBeta.
The satellite tests several new technologies: an L-band transceiver for links between low-orbit and geostationary satellites, perovskite solar cells, onboard AI processing of remote-sensing data and an IoT radio link in an ISM band.
Its telemetry is sent on 435.950 MHz using 1200 and 2400 baud AFSK, the same frequency and format as SALSAT. It flies in a 62° inclination orbit, so it does not pass over the polar regions.
