About LO-74

LO-74 (LUSAT-OSCAR 74), launched as CubeBug-2 and nicknamed "Manolito", is a 2U CubeSat of the Argentine company Satellogic. It was launched on 21 November 2013 on a Dnepr rocket from Yasny in Russia, in a large cluster that also carried FUNcube-1 (AO-73), UWE-3, GOMX-1 and ZACUBE-1. Its OSCAR name continues the LUSAT name of Argentina's first amateur satellite, LO-19.

CubeBug-2 was the second test flight of a CubeSat platform that Satellogic designed to be released as open hardware and software for amateur and university projects, and tested components for the company's later Earth-observation satellites: an onboard computer, a small reaction wheel and a camera. The project was supported by Argentina's science ministry, INVAP and the Radio Club Bariloche.

The mission plan included services for radio amateurs, a digipeater and downloads of payload data, once the technology tests were complete.
