About HO-113
HO-113 (Hope-OSCAR 113), launched as XW-3 or CAS-9, is a 6U CubeSat designed and operated by CAMSAT, the Chinese amateur satellite group. It was launched on 26 December 2021 on a Long March 4C rocket from Taiyuan as a secondary payload with the ZY-1 02E Earth-observation satellite, and AMSAT then gave it its OSCAR number. Besides the radio payload it carried a camera and an experimental thermoelectric generator from a high-school student project.
Its main amateur payload was a 30 kHz wide V/u linear transponder centred on 145.870 MHz up and 435.180 MHz down. It is inverting, so the usual rule applies: LSB up, USB down, with most of the Doppler on the 70 cm downlink. It also had a CW beacon on 435.575 MHz and GMSK telemetry on 435.725 MHz.
HO-113 flies in a polar orbit of about 750 km. In February 2026 AMSAT listed it among the re-entered or inoperative satellites, so check recent reports before calling through it.
