About CO-55
CO-55 (CUTE-1) from the Tokyo Institute of Technology was launched on 30 June 2003 on a Rockot rocket from Plesetsk, together with CO-57 (CubeSat XI-IV). The two were among the first CubeSats to reach orbit.
CUTE-1 carries a CW beacon and a digital telemetry downlink on 70 cm. Reports of it being heard more than twenty years after launch show how long a simple, well-built CubeSat can survive.
