About OTP-2
OTP-2 is a 6U CubeSat of the American company Rogue Space Systems, launched on 15 March 2025 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rideshare from Vandenberg, the same flight that carried the TEVEL2 satellites. It is a commercial testbed for the company's computer hardware, algorithms, sensors and in-orbit data processing, not an amateur radio satellite.
Radio amateurs and satellite listeners know it for its "music" beacon: it plays the theme of the computer game Kerbal Space Program on 400.500 MHz. AMSAT lists it among the satellites that sometimes transmit music and notes that schedules are hard to find; listeners share them in the Libre Space community and in messaging groups for satellite operators.
400.500 MHz lies below the 70 cm amateur band, so you need a scanner or SDR that covers it; a reception report on the AMSAT status page helps others know when it is playing.
